Is it Right?

When Jacob “buys” the bechora from Esau, he does so at a time and in a way that takes advantage of Esau’s state of body and mind: Esau is exhausted and famished.

Is what Jacob does admirable? If so, does that mean we should emulate Jacob in the way we conduct business?

Similarly, are we allowed to deceive our parents as Jacob deceives Isaac?

Whatever your answer: do you consistently apply it? Or do you pick and choose?
